Nakasato Virtual Museum Velociraptor mongoliensis skull |
|
|
Velociraptor skull is small and slender, possessing very large eye sockets (the largest openings in side of this object) and many recurved serrated teeth in both upper and lower jaws. This creature and Saurornithoides have front-oriented eye sockets which might have provided these animals binocular vision. Rotate these skulls and find that their eyes could have faced partly forward. |
