| Today the meeting was held between Dr. Barsbold and us, a newly organized
Nakasato web site support team, to discuss the contents of the site. Unfortunately, I
could not attend this meeting, but the exciting information's about the dinosaur were
provided by Dr. Barsbold at the meeting. |

As the new dinosaur remaining is still under cleaning, fine research has not been completed, and I can't tell when it will be published" Dr. Barsbold mentioned. But it is considered to be a new genus from our preliminary study, some of the results I mentioned the other day.
So, regarding its new name, 'Grusimimus tsuru' or 'Tsurumimus' seems to be suitable for this new ostrich-mimic" said Dr. Barsbold. Both 'Grus' and 'tsuru' represent crane. In particular, the latter is a Japanese name of the bird.
Some of my friend told me as a joke that the newly discovered dinosaur might be named after my name (Takeisaurus??), but I was please to hear that the Japanese was likely to be included within the name. I've never imagined that the fossil I found was such an important specimen. I can hardly wait to see the 'Grusimimus' reconstructed and displayed somewhere in a museum or exhibitions. I strongly hope that thorough investigation of this dinosaur will be completed as soon as possible.
